Are the ingredients correct for the ginger smoothie? It seems like it would only make a shot-glass full, with not enough liquid to blend it up.
Just tried making it true to the recipe and it was sludge-like, also the foulest shit i ever tasted. Watered it down with silver tequila, that did the trick.
I like how you think, Julia.
Thank you 🙂
I would maybe add a handful or two of spinach or kale, depending on your preference. That said I know nothing of whether the original recipe is correct.
If say yes those ingredients are off. I’d add a little almond milk, water, no sugar added juice or such. I’d also add a touch of spends or turbinado sugar as lime and ginger are both bitter
I believe the recipe for the ginger is supposed to be more chunky to increase the volume of fiber as well as the rich nutrients while decreasing the water intake. Lemon juice or apple vinegar could supplement as a detoxing agent that can help make the smoothie go down “smoother”. Just have to be mindful of stomach acid and acid from fruits for dental hygiene as well.
I love green type of food – especially avocado or spinach dishes. I also have to try to prepare something from green tea! Mmm.. 😉
Fat Burning Smoothie
1/2 of slim milk is listed twice, is this correct?
This is my first “matcha experience”. I made the chocolate matcha smoothie today and it was delicious! I can’t say whether I can taste the tea or not, I taste the cocoa. Looking forward to trying a beautiful bright green smoothie tomorrow – probably the High Energy Pear smoothie. Thanks for the ideas!
